I do something similar, and it's true that email traffic is much more engaged and profitable. The beauty with email is that you can do both You can start the content via email, monetize that email, and then send them to a platform you own and monetize there with normal ads like adsense, taboola, etc.

For this to work you must do a good job in building a relationship with your audience, never spam them and know that they will open your emails if they love your content. I do this for woodworking, fashion, green energy, meditation, and marketing methods.

Placing progremattic ads in emails (networks like liveintent, wellput, refind ads, paved, etc) is just one monetization practice and it's usually not the highest profitable ad placements.
More profitable ways is to place direct affiliate recommendations to other newsletters where you can earn around $1-$2 EPC just for sending new subs to other newsletters.
For advanced, more scalable, high authority ways, you can sell premium subscriptions to your newsletter for people who love your content but don't want to see ads, and you provide them with premium content or even an app.

Here's how it works for me:
I run traffic to an option page > monetize new leads via a newsletter recommendation popup that recommends other newsletters > tell them "your first email will arrive in ~10 mins) and in the meantime, check out this affiliate offer.
Then I start sending automated emails to new contacts. The first emails are the most important ones - it's the first impression that lasts.
Some of these are pure value, interesting emails content with ads, some of them are sales emails to affiliates, and some of them is what I call "engagement," which is to build a relationship with the subs like asking them what else they want to see, what's 1 thing I can do to improve their newsletter, If I start a premium membership what's the type of content/services they would consider paying a subscription fee for, and more...

how to get traffic from facebook group? Tried to submit my blogs to the group admin, but rarely get approved, even in public groups.

Yes traffic arbitrage works, but not in long term.
