I wanted to know if TOR switches proxys while navigating because I had been recently using it and I noticed that without pressing 'use a new identity' the IP changed from one from Germany to one from Netherlands. I read about TOR at their page but didn't find this issue. Thanks for your help!

Yeah, all the time. Proxies come and go frequently. Welcome to wonderful world of free proxies.

OK do you mean they change as with standalone free proxies that one can get? I thought as TOR is like a 'community of proxys' they would last more but you're right, if the relay disconnects (like in p2p it could be compared to that) you're going to be assigned a new proxy. Thanks for your response!

Tor only has one single goal: anonymity
Performance, stability of connection etc is all not really important to it.
That makes Tor not the best choice for most BH activities, also it tends to give you the most shared IPs in most cases.

Cloakfish is based on Tor, maybe check it out as it will not change your IP without you knowing it.

TOR is not reliable for 'production' BH work but I've found it ALWAYS anonymous
for general use if I want to 'hide' .....

I run TOR through proxyfirewall for certain things and have had no problems .....
can force IP change when needed, etc .....

And proxyfirewall is very handy to change whether to use proxies with certain programs or not .....

    HTH .... :cool2:
