I came across few sellers on FB they offer high authority sites at a cheap price...and they are indexable as well,
ex site - bhw.teachable.com/blog (doesnt exist)

does such subdomain backlink worth paying??
do they affect ranking potentially??

Generally they are not as good as main domain, unless the subdomain got links from main domain. You need to check backlink profile of subdomain. But If they are selling it for cheap, its good to add them in your link profile.
