Does Spotify count streams when computer volume is mute but Spotify app volume is max?

I stream daily to help artists I like but I've gotten sick of listening to the same songs.
I know Spotify doesn't count streams if volume is muted in the app, but can they detect if the main device is muted?

I can confirm the streams are counted if the main device volume is muted

If you use Android: Yes, it can be detected by Spotify.
If you use iOS: No, it can't be detected by Spotify.

But as of now Spotify still counts this, even if the volume is muted.

Put on a headset, lower the microphone to the minimum volume and put the headset on the table Quiet and useful ...
