After the bipolar google staff started the non-sense updates too frequently it seems they are flipping coins every week. Does SEO still worth for you?

If you ask than the answer is no, get yourself a normal 9-5 day job and best of luck.
 
Test it.

Buy 2 similar domains
Use the same themes, plugins, etc.
Add the same type of content to each
Do SEO on one but not the other

See which ranks and what the traffic difference is.
 
The SEO sphere is volatile and unpredictable as much as it never been. SEO was worth, is worth it and will always be, but that doesn't mean it's getting easier. It's actually getting harder and more complex.

Understand how google think, then construct an evergreen strategy, use techniques and tactics as much as you want but always within a framework that takes google goas and way of thinking into consideration.

Google wants to provide excellent user experience, search results that correspond to the user intent, from credible and trustworthy websites, that's it.

Also, always diversify your traffic sources, while doing SEO you can work on social media (the synergy is bonus). You can build a list and think of it as a traffic source also, this is the most safe option since you own it and control it.

SEO is an excellent way to build your business on sand.

You are dependent on google.. you are basically a parasite.

Go for it OP and be one of the herd who screams and crys before and after every google update.
 
Definitely depends on what you're doing. BH SEO is getting a lot harder as google very frequently has banwaves now, so often when your site just started to rank it gets deindexed.

There are ofcourse ways to overcome this, you just have to be creative. White-hat SEO is still a very valuable skill and still works very well, it just takes a bit more time than it used to.
 
It depends on your own tolerance for volatile environments, which is what the state of SEO has become over the past several years with all the Google updates, it simply is no longer a set and forget thing no matter how much of an expert you are, you have to stay on top of constant changes and be willing to put in the work to refine your strategies.

All of this costs time and money and not everyone is up for the challenge, but there is no doubt that SEO can provide you with the best source of targeted traffic in the world, so if you do it right and have the patience to build up your results it is definitely gonna be worth it.

Yes. Majority of the site's owner doing SEO. I knew some Amazon Affiliates doing very well, making around $100K per month doing only SEO.

You must be knowledgeable in SEO. When you provide value, you must get value in return.
Publish Quality Full Articles, Do proper SEO, build Quality Backlinks. You will be successful in SEO...
 
Google is personally killing SEO by stealing everyone's content for its own page...
