I do not know the answer to that, it looks random, I have a 2-year-old subreddit but it's still unverified, but I also have other subreddits that are just a few months old that are verified.. And there is no way to manually submit your subreddit for verification.

I've seen this method before and people seem to have good success with it. I might try it when I start my ecom SEO projects to boost sales in the beginning

Update: I tested just posting under 2 reddit posts with no upvotes for a mid-ticket service I provide. I was pretty much at the bottom of the comments, and linked to a website that's contact form didn't even work and still managed to close a guy.

So for service based businesses offering services under high traffic reddit posts is definitely a way to get started with making money. I am going to try and build a sort of "reddit agency" and see if it can reach 10k/pm just off of driving traffic from under reddit posts and just reselling the services.

Yes it work, i still get traffic for my site from reddit. Some my post link at reddit on top search.
 
Reddit SEO isn't dead, just harder. If your content is useful and fits the sub's vibe, it can still pull traffic and rank.
 
Reddit’s crackdown definitely reduced the effectiveness of parasite-style posts, especially for commercial or link-heavy content. Some niche topics still rank, but moderation and link filters are much stricter now. Sustainable results come from genuine community engagement and value-driven posts rather than pure promotion. The quick-win phase seems largely over
 
Yeah, it's still possible but much harder now. Reddit's manual moderation and link filter are stricter, so parasite post need to look fully organic like natural discussions. Focus on niche subs, value based post and soft mentions instead of direct link insertion if you want to see consistent results.
 
Yeah, it still works to some extent, but only in smaller niches. Reddit mods are much stricter now, so any post that looks promotional or gets sudden upvotes usually gets removed. If you keep it natural and add real value, threads can still rank well in Google.

Reddit SEO still works, but it’s a lot more controlled now. You need to post naturally in active subs - no spammy links or fake upvotes.
 
Yes, but only when done naturally with real value and genuine engagement; spam won’t work.
 
Yes there is evidence that Reddit is actively enforcing rules that make “parasite-SEO” / manipulated posts harder (though not impossible).
