Does paying to promote TikToks kill your views ?
Many content creators are asking this question. It seems that many people have paid to promote their videos to gain more followers, but as soon as they stop, their views drop. Is this happening because TikTok wants you to keep paying for views, or is it something else ?
Have you tested it ? What happened ?
I’d love to read your thoughts and hear about your experiences !

I’m wondering this too organic isn’t working for me

Tiktok naturally wants you to pay for more videos once you have paid for one. The 'new' followers or viewers that might come through the promotion won't interact with your content afterwards either, as you've somehow 'bought' your way onto their for you page and not because they are 100% interested in your content. In my opinion, the promote option is more for companies than creators, even if it is accessible for both. The best way is to get views organically and build a community. If you have fewer views, then your content is probably bad.

The problem is usually the video content. If the content doesn't have high level of engagement, you should expect a drop in views especially when you stop promoting it.

Tiktok 100 account ded,
Tiktok 600 account half ded
Tiktok 1000, chance for lottery run
Tiktok 10.000 favourtism

Based on data and sentiment, paid promotion of TikTok won’t “kill” your views, but it can create a dependency that can cause organic growth to struggle once promotion stops.

Thank you for your feedback. To summarize, promoting these videos by paying may negatively affect organic traffic.

It is important to have natural views from official accounts. Therefore, it does not matter how much money you spend, what matters is whether the views you earn with that money are real or fake.

Paid TikTok promos don’t kill views, but organic growth can stall when you stop. Tested it — views jumped, then dropped a bit after.

If the content was bad and it was only receiving views because of paid promotion, then it will die
If the content is high quality, it will receive a paid boost and continue gaining traction with organic views

Of course, when you have support, the number of views increases more or less depending on the cost you spend. But when you stop spending money, the number of views will stop, unless you have a large number of fans and those views are natural

tested with different accounts, mixed results. Growth depends more on actual content.

possibly due to TikTok prioritizing paid reach over organic, but results can vary.

I’ve seen videos on YouTube, including one where a guy says that for an established account, boosting a video that has already gained strong organic potential isn’t a bad idea to attract more viewers.

When you pay to promote a TikTok, it gets more exposure. TikTok ads are displayed to a targeted audience, and it can help your content reach users outside of your current follower base, giving it a boost in visibility.

it can help, good content is good content. study others doing similar content that are doing good. set aside some funds monthly to distribute views consistently.

I think this reason is also correct, dropping views makes you afraid and tend to pay money for tiktok to promote your videos again. So people often want to build an organic channel first, not run ads before the channel has a stable number of views. If you want to run ads, you should have a clear strategy. I think it's best to build a stable channel yourself, if you want to sell, start running ads targeting customers.
