So just to get everything right -
I have my main site (i like the golf analogy so we'll use that).
GolfSite_001 will be my main page (can you tell I used to be a gamer? lol) with lots of content about drivers, a full page story on my experience with one particular driver, and my affiliate link. This would be a hard sale page where I'm really trying to get people to buy it, but without being pushy.
I create 5? 10? 15? 20? Smaller blogs/websites/review sites, with domains and URLs etc, we will call these Golfsite_002 and Golfsite_003, with affiliate links the same as my main golf site, but just a small bit of information about the driver and a "to read the rest of the story, go [here]". So if people saw any of those sites under the same search on google, it would have a slightly different feel, look, and the content wouldn't be the exact same, but close. In the end though, its just a smaller hinting page at what i want, with the idea to possibly get an easy sell or get people to be more interested and go to my harder sale page.
Then further out on the wheel, would be smaller blogs on the main blog sites like blogger.com without any affiliate banners, but a quick link or two to your affiliate and your main site, with more original content, but super short. Readers digest version perhaps?
Then somewhere in the middle of all of that linkwheel chaos would be youtube videos, rss feeds, blog commenting, guestbook commenting, educational website backlinks, etc.
Basically, from how it seems to me, its all the exact same mentality of a big linked together squeeze page, but tricking people into thinking you're all different people with the same idea. This would be playing off the psychology study that was done on how people trust Google more than their own friends on what to buy. Slowly trying to filter people in one step closer, and closer, till they buy, or go onto read more of your exact same content or information to hopefully buy again.
Am i getting this correctly?
Also, with these wheels, if I am correct in my understanding. How far out do you 'professionals' go? How many spokes I guess would be the right way to say it.
Thanks so much
