hi

i have tried link wheel twice for my blogs

i used 10 sized wheel and 14 sized wheel for my blogs

but i didn't see any improvement in my SERP

i pinged all the URLs and RSS feeds + did some 10-20 bookmarkings etc

so is link wheel really good?

i tried with the keywords having <25,000 competition inside " "

How long have you waited? Did you switch up the anchor texts while making the LW? All of these questions matter.

Link wheeling definitely works. Try adding some social network sites with your link to the mix. Twitter gets me indexed every time.

Link wheels definitley work. I speek from experience. They are a great way to improve your SEO. Just give it some time.

yeah! it surely works. but might take a bit longer than u expect.wish u luck.

normally how long does it take.
hard question. but i just want the duartion from ppl who have seen the changes.
i just got a link wheel
so i am excited to know when i can roughly see the changes.
:)

It works, but you should promote the wheels a bit harder, you can do some blog comment spamming on top of the bookmarks for example

I tried a link wheel but i didn't notice any difference. Hard to measure it though if you're using different methods of backlinking on the one site. Mix it up and see how you go.

You can't just set up 10 Web 2.0 sites anymore and link them up, you have to promote a handful of your sites just the way you would your money page. You also have to switch it up and have links going to another, independant wheel!

It's labour intensive, but it will work!

Yeah, it works if you are going for very long tail keywords which some day might generate a sale or two. If you are going for anything that could actually make you some money , then generally no.

i am waiting for 14 days

no i didn't switch the keywords

i used 2 words as my keyword

i dont think link wheel worked out for me

i also did some 20-30 social bookmarking _ RSS feed submissions

pinged all URLs + RSS URLs

i created a 14 size wheel with 14 unique articles

From what i know they dont work anymore, google has cought up to them, you have to be random now, so google can't tell the pattern you are using.

I still don't get one little detail. OK fine, you've got all the sites in your link wheel pointing at your money site. But why link to each other? What's the benefit? Easier for Google to index all the sites? Are you squirting link juice to each other? Does a link from one lousy site make any difference? How is that suppose to increase your new Weebly/Hubpage's PR? What's wrong with just linking a shit pile of sites to your money site?

I was gonna try a link wheel today, but after reading some of the above posts: do link wheels still work?

yes i too think the same

google caught this technique

How can you possibly know that?

"Linkwheel" is just a new name for a concept called the mini-net. People have been doing it for years.

Google treats different keywords in different ways. Linkwheels can be successful on some keywords but not on others. It's extremely hard to know in advance which keywords will work.

I have had plenty of wheels which have failed completely, even after promotion. For unknown reasons, Google simply said no.

However, I later used exactly the same type of wheel on another keyword and had spectacular results.

People might try 3 linkwheels and fail, and then conclude that Google is "on to them". This is entirely false. You just have to keep trying new keywords.

i have tried link wheel several times and i must say that i works the same way like any other backlinking style.

If i created about 50 backlinks from random blogs, i would get the same result that i would get from a link wheel. trust me i have tried it before.

Just becuase its coming from a guru dosent really mean its the ultimate method.

Just give it more time. It can take up to several weeks to show any effect. I'd also suggest to try using open linkwheels in addition to your closed ones. And read Micallef's post. Sometimes it simply doesn't work for no apparent reason.
