Hi there!

Hope anyone can answer it here because I've read some blogs that people still observe keyword density...and when I follow legit blogs like MOZ and the likes...practicing KEYWORD DENSITY doesn't matter anymore.

Any thoughts about this?

Keyword density is always important in your contents.
It should be only in 1-2.5%.
Try to avoid using keyword more than the average percentage.
Because it will affects your site by Google penalties.

Try read this thread http://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/the-ultimate-guide-to-ranking-a-website-without-building-backlinks.748366/ and then use the search button your question is fun!

2% KW density is good for a post mate.

Yes it is but it should be much lower these days

I think its just as important but in the opposite way - its important not to stuff your article so make sure its not over optimized. Also I think more important these days is LSI and related keywords. I think as a way of combating the obvious over optimizing google looks much more at related keywords and phrases to assess the relevance of an article, so look at including those additional types of keywords more than stuffing the article with a single target keyword.

If your articles are written for the reader and not just for the search engine, it's harder to stuff keywords into the article.

As an SEO Geek, it's interesting your own site comments on methods;
SEO Facts : Black Hat SEO Black Hat SEO are designed to encounter heavy traffic. They hardly follow search engine guidelines. Black Hat SEO use aggressive techniques and strategies such as the use of invisible text, stuffing keywords, adding unrelated keywords, page swapping, and doorway pages among others.

keyword density still help with rank. if you optimize your content with keyword you have a better chance to rank

For the long run, you should focus on content quality instead of keyword density..

Ofcourse it relevant, but what matter most is the website / page itself.
Keyword density means that the keyword is found a lot in the content. suggesting a low quality content.
think about it. if i right an articles about locksmiths. and use the word locksmiths numerous times. I can only assume that my vocabulary is weak.

IMO, keyword density is still matters. Not only are you playing by the "rules" when you have the "ideal" keyword density, you will have a well-converting page as compared to keyword stuffed page/site.

Keyword density is important and it should between 0.5 to 2%.

Yes, it's still important. But, there is no exact percentage. Experts are advised to keep 1- 3 % of Keyword density along with Semantic and LSI Keywords which helps to looks more natural to the eye of Google.

Here, what google says - Google suggest to write natural article with your Keyword in the article.
