i've started seeing instagram posts appear often in search results. has anyone noticed reach after optimizing captions and profiles for keywords?

Sure, it will do, but only for search-friendly niches. Keywords in titles, biographies, captions, and screen text might increase discoverability, yet engagement and quality content appear to be the more important factors.
 
Yes it does work, If you observe many people write a bunch of like 10-20 Keywords in their captions along with hashtags too, Even putting keywords in your bio works as an Instagram SEO.
 
It does work, we saw the distribution of our reels 10x when we started doing it properly in April. It doesn't seem to work as well these days, but then it may be many other factors also. Reels may just be a more competetive medium now.

Still don't fully understand the deal with the Japanese captions and why they work, anyone have any ideas?
 
Using relevant keywords naturally in your captions and profile can improve discoverability and reach.

i've noticed it too and will be using that as part of my strategy to target my ideal audience.

yesh it can do the trick. at least i noticed that posts were easier to find when both the caption nd the bio text on the post contained the same keywords. so it will not help u increase ur visibbility overnight but will definitely bring some more. i think u should concentrate more on keyword relevancy.
 
Profile keywords may help people find the account, while caption keywords can give more context about the post.
 
Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. Optimizing the profile name, bio and captions around the right keywords can help, especially when the content already matches the search intent.
 
This number of instagram posts appearing in the search results is too small and related to some of the TOP niches like tech, finance. Don't think too much about this things and focus on your content quality, video hooks and aesthetics etc. Just add some of the relevant keyword according to your video in captions. That's it.

It is like using Instagram as a search engine itself: type the exacts topic in bio or caption and see what posts becomes search impressions instead of just relying on reach figures.

yes it does work, like you cant just keep posting and expect results, its the right caption, right hastagss according to your video.

Though i am quite new to this process as well i have come across many instances where the search results display Instagram posts i have not conducted tests on the effectiveness of optimizing the keywords yet hence would like to know about it from others
 
Yeah, I’ve seen this too. Adding a few relevant keywords to the caption seems to help.

Absolutely, I have seen reels come through for random longtail keywords several weeks after publishing. It was all about treating the caption as a mini meta description.

yeah i believe that instagram SEO is effective. at least for me, there have been cases where i noticed that using appropriate terms in the descripption makes it easier to discover ur posts. using profile keywords can be effective, but content nd engagement matter the most.
