Does .info rank in Google?

Yes, it is a lot easier. Nonetheless, the INFO can rank.

it does take 2-3 weeks for new domain name to be indexed by Google and then only it start ranking.i had .info domain name last time which took 2 weeks to get indexed.and in the mean time i was building links to that domain name with social media sites.to my surprise my site went from rank 180 to number 3 on google less than 24 hrs.

Sorry but indexing taxes only 1-2 days not weeks.

There are many factors here to point it out, but taking into consideration the
competition, and IF you are engaged in having GOOD CONTENT in this website
you can rank it.
As of yesterday, I was working on some Google maps when I found a business in
Los Angeles (therapy) at #1 for Google Maps (7 box) carrying .info as extension. Other thing... It was clear work of a IM.
Also, I still see domains with .info extension ranking at top position.
You know that Google will be up your a@@ because of it, what you have to do
is prove Google wrong.

You can rank with a .info domain name but I've found that it takes much more work then trying to rank with a .com, .net or .org. Everything has to be top notch with the .info whereas the .com, .net or .org can be lacking in an area or two and still rank. That's because scammers looking for a quick buck have often times registered these domain names for 1 year only, ripped people off and vanished. Registering a .info for more then one year may help.
just seeking advice...as we all know Gaming and Video games is going 3D.. playstation is all ready making 3D games..is it a good idea to buy the domain name below.

search google for "pr checker" the #1 listing is a .info. You can rank it like anything else. Why don't you read through the boards before posting the same question that has been asked a couple dozen times. You will find your answer repeatedly.
.infos are just as easy to rank as a .com. Don't let anyone tell you different. .coms just look better in the serps.
