This is one of the correlations that doesn't mean causation situations.
It does help if the DA is high, and was acquired naturally. But it is not the only ranking factor if we could call it that.

DA is not a google ranking factor but it is a ranking metric that is used to predict how well is your website ranking on search engines.it was created by MOZ and MOZ assigns a score of 1 to 100 so obviously if u have a good score it means your website is doing good in SERP page.

Technical Factors: Search Engines also consider technical factors such as website's loading speed, sitemaps, structured data and security.
If you are concentrated on the above factors you don't need worry about DA, Its just a Number

As we know backlinks from high Domain Authority (DA) websites are to increase the authority and credibility of your own website, which will increase traffic and improvise ranking in SERP. So, indirectly it helps to rank higher in SERP but its not a ranking factor.

Not at all, nowadays I saw some websites outranking Nytimes and Forbes with 0 DA. So just focus on topical authority.

Google does not use Domain Authority as a ranking factor and it has no effect on the SERPs, which combine root domains and links to calculate a single Domain Authority score. Search engines do not use any of these authority metrics because they are calculated by third-party tools.
