Hi, Does gsa still work in 2018 ? Can you rank websites with it ?
I am thinking of trying my hands on it.

GSA works well for tier2 links but I won't recommend for tier1 and If you use it for tier1 links, It may give result initially but may damage your site in long run, So build quality backlinks with good articles.

I am 100% satisfied with him @StrixMedia.
Even if you will use GSA for long time then you Google will also not work due to IP problem. I am using this but rarely and only for my web2.0 and video links.

Short answer: no

Check @Shaunm journey for more info

Totally agree. Noticed the stuff in the below diagram today too with one project.

P.S "per aspera ad astra" Love your motto :).

@hadron

It works as in it build links but IMO the majority of these links are useless or cause you harm these days with Google. You can use it to post to self-hosted domains such as PBNs or bridge networks but IMO these have also taken a hit too.

I posted this a few months back. Since then there was a pretty big change on the 12th December as well as all of this in January. So much has changed in the past 18 month when it comes to SER based stuff. I dropped SER in August 17 only to bring it back last month for one last test. I have just checked my serp tracker for that SER project and this is how its looking.

The blue line that is on from early January is the money page, the other multi coloured lines are bridge network links the yellow square between 19th Jan and 22 Jan is the note of when I started blasting SER. As you can see, the money page and the bridge network links all drop on the 4th Feb at the exact same day. This is how I laid the project out...

I have canceled all of my re-bills for SER and don't plan on using it again in all honesty. My focus going forward is my zero backlinking domain to see how that gets on.

Thanks for this case, always good stuff.

I read another link building journey somewhere else where it said initially the link blast affected negatively but after 6 months the SERP came back with higher ranking.

It would be interesting to know if it is still the case.

Thats pretty much whats happened in the past but the T1 links would move independently in my experience.

If you look at the Red line in the screenshot I posted. Before the fall it moves up and down independently with little correlation to the rest of the T1 links and does its own thing. Then they all fall at the same time then all drop out of the SERPs at the same time then all pop back into the SERPs at the same time. I have never seen that and I have had hundreds of money pages with SER. IMO its not worth the risk anymore.

Thanks for this case, always good stuff.

Glad I could help :).

I don't think it plays any rules.

Maybe it can work for Tire 3+

He's just worried cause he'll sell less GSA via affiliate now ...

I can rank #1 with no-competition keywords and GSA SER. Usually with no-competition keywords I don't make very much though, less than $5 a day. Plus it takes longer to rank then if using expired 2.0s and PBNS So it might take a long time to get ROI for all your proxies, software, and resources.
Just buy some gsa link packages for $20 from the marketplace to test it out before buying.

there must be a reason why gsa platforms arent passing link juice anymore. probably high OBL and something else, high obl alone isnt spam detector

Thanks for the data/case study @Shaunm. Any other potential reason for the sudden drop?

I've been blasting parasites with GSA lately and am still seeing good results.

Working theory is that Google's too much of a pussy to give any significant penalty for (most) GSA blasts due to the abuse potential for NSEO. Even if a lot of the blast ends up being trash, some decent links will slip through while the trash is devalued.
