Does google even care about content?

I am looking for that answer because i search for a keyword "vivek Lall" and 3 articles on the first page actually have copy-pasted same article.

Is authority/backlinks so strong factor that google does not even care about showing same copy-pasted article?

Long term yes good content will help, sometimes in middle due to updates this kind of mess takes place

I don't believe anything google said. I have original article on my website, I copy paste it on other less authority site to get a link and now the same article on other site ranking 1 in google and mine is on 2 page hahaha

I am almost 99.99% sure that they do not have full control over all the search results. My thought is partially supported by the fact that google introduced a way to provide feedback on search results. Why would they do that if they know they are doing everything correctly?

At most, they control some of the known keywords. For others they rely on their algorithm. Algorithms aren't always perfect, and shit happens. So, don't expect Google to rank you on good articles. Don't expect Google to tank you on copied content either. In longer term, you will ultimately be manually reviewed someone..and lose your rank, if you are doing something wrong (on google's eyes that is).

if you follow rules that's they wanted from you. lol sh%tty google updates, guidelines lol. I have my own blog that have many of other websites original content in it. just copy pasted. site's 4 years old now. still ranking no 1 most of the articles on the website. most funny part is the original article post links not find in first page also. lol. just create fu&%ing hard backlinks, massive 301 redirection and huge social share (using social locker). if I followed those google's rules I'll fu^%d up 2 years ago. lol. but I didn't give a sh%t about google rules. I'm laughing who posting here some thread that they are afraid of Googles update. omg huge google update going like that. lol. because that's what they want, that's google's wanted. follow the rules, be a good child. but if someone think out of the box, he win for sure. because crazy thinkers always invented a new thing to this world.

Like someone else said, an algorithm breaks sometimes and that's why you see those pages ranking on the front page most likely.

Are those keywords even competitive if I may ask?

Exactly. I don't understand why people still think that "content is the king" or "content is evil". It's all about algo and ML, with option to manually intervene.

If you meant they don't manually review anything, then I would beg to disagree.. coz they do.

That make sense better for me. I'll do the same fuc&%ng rule breaking always. Still in first page 1,2 positions for most of the keywords. lol. I don;t care now after 4 years my site gonna hit or fuck$d up. because I made thousands from this site within 4 years.

Depends on the competition again, if top 10 site have crap content, then you can reach top 10 for that keyword with crap content as well.
