Does Google detect spun content?

My niche is download softwares so I think people do not care much about the content (I'm quite sure they just want the download link), But I still spin content to rank my articles on Google. I spinned content then changed the paragraph. Can Google detect that?

depends on the quality of the spin, my projects do just fine with WordAi spins for link building. but then WordAI does do sentence rewriting too.

Yep, spun content is easily found, especially with today's crawlers (Updated)

it might work , but the question is how does your keyword distribution works, i rather have more first page to third, then having 600 results on the 10 page, if we are speaking about money, and income i rather go and write my own content or hire someone who is more capable then me to do so. spinning is always looks like the easiest way and the cheapest but often is the most punished way to grow a healthy business on google.
 
The general consensus seems to be that tier 2s + couldddd be spun without much of a problem. On a money site though? No way! I wouldn't even accept spun content on my tier 1
 
I think they use some sort of AI to detect multiple spun cases

I've the same opinion here.
Unique, native hand written for main sites, cheap non native and/or manually rewritten and/or reclaimed for tier 1 and spun for tier 2.

Google's always talking about AI-ing this and AI-ing that, but the fact that keyword stuffed pages (which I do not support) continue to be indexed proves that they're not AI-ing anything related to their search engine. And it's strange considering keyword stuffing can be easily detected.

What if it's a honeypot after all and they don't want to piss people and push them further since Google panda => avoid unknown results of being too strict?

Google should know by now how to avoid being too strict. If they don't, that reveals a lot about their AI capabilities (or lack of).

google has some serious power but not this much.

Don't believe the half of the bullshit SEO's come out with they are either trying to flog you their article service or trying to raise your costs! Its almost as laughable as the TV licence people in the UK saying they can detect if you're watching a tv from outside your house!

Spun content isn't grammatically correct half the time it gets picked up by manual reviews not googles advanced AI.

"Taking every article it indexes and then checking it against every other article" would be a very stupid and ineffective way to detect spun content. If that's their current strategy, it's no wonder they're failing at it.

Yes they do detect spun content depneds on how your spun content is good enough. If it's generated by third party software, you have to bear in mind that maybe 20 more people like you spunned the same article if it's a niche with high competition. It's better to determine before start a long term plan for spun content.
 
I'm using Wordai and setting very unique level. As I said, my users do not care about the content. They just want the download links. I'm gonna monetize by using content locking CPA offers.
 
You really think your $50 article spinner can outsmart a muitibillion dollar company.
