I'm assuming that Google is years ahead of Baidu in terms of counter-acting blackhat SEO tactics, but I could be wrong.
I have an English site that I've translated to Russian (now #1 on Yandex), and I'm thinking of doing the same for China.
Sadly, I see very few resources on the web for Baidu SEO (in English) and the ones that do exist seem to contradict each other.
Short question: is link spamming etc still effective in backwards China, or do I need to go with a more expensive route?
Does anyone here have any experience trying to rank in Baidu?
