There are many months that many Publishers in Awin are not being paid or are only receiving small amount of payments and I am one of them.
I read that Awin is going to default very soon and this is why most of the Publisher are not being paid.
Does anyone know what is really happening with Awin?

I have recently tried to join a lot of programs with a big legit site and not heard back from a single advertiser. These are big advertisers too. Looking dodgy to me.

Could you show please list of those programs that you try out?

I don't know in which market are your working in, but awin has many corruption problems and have fired several account managers.
I know people who have had to pay someone inside awin italy to get the money.
I wish you to be able to get paid but I doubt it.

Really? There is corruption in Awin?

I am working in UK market. Do you know anything about it?

Any news about Awin ?
I am working on french market and to join many affiliate programs, I must go through awin,
I don't know if it is worth to join awin or they still have payment problems

I signed up for awin two months ago, and their criteria for accepting campaigns is quite strange.

First registered the main site and received only one accepted campaing out of 5 requested. Then I registered the second (same niche, but less DA, TF etc.) and magically 4 of the 5 campaigns were accepted.

That seems quite meaningless to me. So i would not be surprised if they also skim some leads.

I was on the way to work with Awin, mostly because I wanted to affiliate with etsy, but not quite sure now that I have read all this info...

I have serious doubts about Awin.
I wanted to test Amazon competition on the French market. I sent them hundreds of qualified clicks in June and July.
My Amazon sales on the test website are still normal. But I did 0 on Awin. Nada.
I heard all programs (like Manomano) which moved there saw their conversion rate dropping drastically.
It must be good for those companies which get an excellent deal as they pay little for the traffic. And Awin can promote a very low CPC to attract more companies.
But I start to believe more and more the rumors they are stealing money from the small editors. And they bring you zero value except providing an ugly link.
Honestly, I wanted to support Amazon competitors but if I can't even get the equivalent of an Adsense revenue, I will move towards a mix of direct affiliate programs (Amazon + tourism) and Ad networks.
Those middlemen bring absolutly nothing on the table.

I don't believe they're stealing.
It's just that traffic doesn't convert anymore since they switched from affili.net to Awin...
I want to believe that.
But I got conversations with people working in the industry about awin and they said those guys are screwing up small editors.
And it doesn't make any sense why conversation rates suddenly drop by using them. One company had a decent direct affiliate program and when they moved to awin, webmasters reported sales dropped by around 70% after the move.
It means they are very bad at converting or they are screwing you somewhere.
Obviously, no one can prove that point as this is a black box. Impossible to know what is happening with the cookies and the sales.

Yup.

If you want to be sure, you need to be on both sides of the tunnel...

Sure. But it is impossible unless you sell your own products. That is why I much prefer direct affiliate programs. Those middlemen are parasites and provide no value most of the time.

advertisers are paying the publishers. so if a publisher doesnt get paid then it is usually because the advertiser did not transfer the money to awin

I know someone who is working for awin since several years and he doesnt know of any corruption cases or scandals. do you have any proove?

Maybe it could happen, that you know someone who orders using your affiliate-link?
Or maybe you could even know someone who owns an onlineshop which has joined Awin?
Or, assuming you're interested in statistics, looking at your own stats like traffic and conversion rates?

I know someone who is working for Google since several years and he knows that content is king and backlinks doesn't work.

Of course, you're also free to believe.

I've been testing for 2 months. 0 sales with a few hundreds qualified clicks. I am testing another month to have enough decent statistics on Amazon competitors. But I don't expect any kind of miracle ; ad networks are probably the way to go for alternatives with my 2 months of testing.
I've been discussing about it with high level SEO guys. They also get crap results with Awin despite having huge traffic. One good program moved from its own affiliate program towards Awin last year. And those same guys reported they got about 60-70% less sales with the same traffic. How is it possible to have a conversion rate dropping that much?
There is something really wrong somewhere. What amazes me is they have top notch brands there but they give zero fuck about small-medium publishers.

Hi @El Flaco,
Is there anything than Awin for the French market?
