Does anyone know how to deal with this problem? Sitemap error

I have tried with several plugins, I have also tried to include a / at the end (I have seen in many pages that that solved it), but it still gives the error.

Does anyone know what to do?



Note: I can access the sitemap from incognito mode, also the pages to validate the sitemap read it.

Check HTTP Status with a third party like https://httpstatus.io/

Maybe there is a IP restriction or whatever (this is why maybe you could access with your incognito mode.

I assume you are including the sitemap something like https://example.com/sitemap_index.xml

I would suggest you , change your ip, clear your cloudflare cache (if you have cloudflare) and clear your browser cache.

Use any free vpn / proxy extension, change ip and try to access it.

Can you access the sitemap directly? Do you have any bot blocking rule in the htaccess? 403 means forbidden error. So, it must be some kind of bot blocking rule OR your file permissions/ownerships are not correct.

1) ask your host for help if it’s a good one they’ll help, I don’t know which plugins you tried but you can the seo framework or seo press their site maps are good

This worked for me, I switched from rank math to seopress and it solved the problem.
