Does ABC trade linking still works?

Hi guys,
I just read an article from 2010 about ABC-linking.
Do you know if this is still working in 2017 to improve SEO? If so, do you have any tips on how to get ABC link partners.

your image is just a chain of links
but you may refer to 3 way linking which is different

I’m sorry, I meant site A links to site B, B to C and C to A!

First go to A then B and then A but if you get to F it will not work
just like in school so be an A not a C

Your image plan is work but before build links what type of sites ( Link Platforms ) you use for site A, B, and C? This is more important in this strategy.

Site A - Editorial sites or real traffic blogs - Link to Money site

Site B - PBN Posts or Web 2.0 - Link to Site A Post URLs

Site C - Bookmarking, Forum links etc.. - Link to Site B URLs

@speter178 ABC (3-way) trade linking works and will always work, as google cannot detect it unless you make it clearly obvious; better is ABCD (4-way) trade linking, where A,B,C,D are all hosted at different hosting companies.
