First post here, want to document my process of growing an Instagram account to eventual monetization. This is my first attempt at growing an account using some resources and knowledge ive gained here. I study digital marketing daily, currently have a YouTube channel that ive organically grown up to 6k subscribers but have not been monetized yet (became eligible 6 months ago). So i need something on the side while i continue to work on YouTube. Im open to any input or ideas from fellow members as to other projects I can grow with the experience ive gained from youtube

So my insta account is focused on specific models in the high end fashion niche, targeting a specific style and look (for women).

Day 1 was 8 days ago and i had 0 followers, 3 posts, nothing crazy. Didnt start actively growing till about 2 days ago. Im now at 60 followers, 12 posts, 150 following

I post 3 times a day, using images i handpick with hashtags targeting my demographic. I use the free bot that was posted here recently for liking and following, although i manually follow specific followers of pop. accounts in my niche. i think i have a good eye for which followers will yield decent returns just need to keep testing.

So yes, my current standing is 60 followers 150 following 12 posts after 3 days of actively growing. My current issues:

1. Maintaning good ratio between spam followers and real followers. I havent noticed any significant loss in followers so i think its good so far
2. Making the account appear personal, non-business like. Right now i dont want to come off as if i am trying to sell somethig. I try to keep the account as natural as possible for now

My future plans, once i hit 5k, i will monetize. But not through CPA- i think my target audience is too keen and young (hip) to click a spammy link from bio or DM. I will launch t-shirts related to high end LA/NY fashion party scene, drug use and all that. Hard to describe in words but i have a solid vision. This will be done using shopify + printful. The goal is to keep it somewhat passive but ideally i would like to utilize the account to build a bigger brand off of. Which is why im very specific on the images i post, tags i used, and who i follow.

As i said im open to any criticism or insight. Im hoping this documentation will eventually serve useful to someone on a similar path

Nice, well thought out plan. You sound like you know what you want to do, have planned it quite thoroughly and have started to take action. That's what I like to see. Good luck, I'll pop in every now and then and see how things are coming along.

Im trying to go into the same path brother. How much likes are you getting per post? Are your posts viral pictures?

Could you please share the link to the bot that you mentioned? Good luck in your journey!

I get 60-70 likes per photo. They are not viral, most times they are semi-obscure photos i pick by manually visiting accounts of attractive women in the fashion scene. I try to avoid photoshoot images, high quality "viral" photos of celebrities, i look mainly for personal shots of lesser-known but attractive women, also vintage-esque images shot on film cameras, with a grainy look to them are good for me

Google "instabot py github" it will come up. Idk if i can post the link here.

Its slow and some features dont work due to algorithm changes i reckon, so im looking to find something new soon. Its good for letting it run liking photos but i wouldnt trust it too much to follow the right people. I was looking into gmt2 bot with their $10 plan but idk yet

Python is super simple to program in. Instead of purchasing a new bot, why not fix the free one. Use the free bot as your base and code it into a robust custom bot. Just my two cents on the topic. Other than that, good job on taking action! Most people on here just read all day and never take action. Keep at this and you will be making money in no time.

Really appreciate the advice, im willing to learn python if its not too time intensive and can lead to reasonable results. Do you have any resource recommendations? I dont have much experience with programming but im happy to dive in

Just a quick google search will reveal thousands of tutorials. Python has super easy syntax and is also uber powerful. You can do anything in python. It is even the leading language for AI development. Best wishes!

You should try the bot called jarvee!! It really works! I recommend searching some tutorials on their websites and good luck by the way :D

Day 2 update: 18 posts 95 followers 312 followings

Seems like the growth is slow considering the amount of activity on the account. The feed is starting to look good, cohesive and authentic. Follow/unfollow isnt yielding great results at the moment, it might be because i only have 18 posts so the account still appears new or scammy

Consider changing your follow sources. If the content is good and they like it, theyll follow you.

20 posts 116 followers 469 following

Lost and gained a few followers, i think the usual bots began unfollowing. Im posting pretty often to make the account seem as genuine as possible. Im trying to incorporate viral content onto the page, ive heard this is one of the keys to getting onto the explore page.

Ive read conflicting opinions on instagram growth either being a long-term project or something quick and scalable by creating 20 accs at a time and scheduling. Id love to start pulling bigger numbers but im also enjoying the process of learning and growing through the use of my own judgement. Im hoping to use this account in my portfolio kind of as an example to potential clients of what is possible. I just hope im not moving TOO slow

28 posts 177 followers 746 following

My follower/following ratio is pretty bad in my opinion, i was targetting some pretty poor accounts for most of my following however i come across a couple decent streams. At this point im hoping theres a bot or service that will do mass unfollowings for those who dont follow back. Also ive been using the stories feature to gauge how many of my followers are genuine ppl vs bots. last i checked i had 65ish views on the story which isnt bad for 150~ followers
