First post here, want to document my process of growing an Instagram account to eventual monetization. This is my first attempt at growing an account using some resources and knowledge ive gained here. I study digital marketing daily, currently have a YouTube channel that ive organically grown up to 6k subscribers but have not been monetized yet (became eligible 6 months ago). So i need something on the side while i continue to work on YouTube. Im open to any input or ideas from fellow members as to other projects I can grow with the experience ive gained from youtube
So my insta account is focused on specific models in the high end fashion niche, targeting a specific style and look (for women).
Day 1 was 8 days ago and i had 0 followers, 3 posts, nothing crazy. Didnt start actively growing till about 2 days ago. Im now at 60 followers, 12 posts, 150 following
I post 3 times a day, using images i handpick with hashtags targeting my demographic. I use the free bot that was posted here recently for liking and following, although i manually follow specific followers of pop. accounts in my niche. i think i have a good eye for which followers will yield decent returns just need to keep testing.
So yes, my current standing is 60 followers 150 following 12 posts after 3 days of actively growing. My current issues:
1. Maintaning good ratio between spam followers and real followers. I havent noticed any significant loss in followers so i think its good so far
2. Making the account appear personal, non-business like. Right now i dont want to come off as if i am trying to sell somethig. I try to keep the account as natural as possible for now
My future plans, once i hit 5k, i will monetize. But not through CPA- i think my target audience is too keen and young (hip) to click a spammy link from bio or DM. I will launch t-shirts related to high end LA/NY fashion party scene, drug use and all that. Hard to describe in words but i have a solid vision. This will be done using shopify + printful. The goal is to keep it somewhat passive but ideally i would like to utilize the account to build a bigger brand off of. Which is why im very specific on the images i post, tags i used, and who i follow.
As i said im open to any criticism or insight. Im hoping this documentation will eventually serve useful to someone on a similar path
