I never lie to my parents, even if I disappoint them. I dont care. Its my life.
I had to take a different approach growing up because if I went against my dad my life would instantly become hell haha. Also I guess you need to respect them on some things since they are the ones raising you and also paying for everything.

hahah yeah lots of fun, before covid huge open house parties like that would happen every weekend in Aus. but very dangerous. Have not been to one in years since I was like 17.

i pissed them off asking questions incessantly like they asked me. any time they left the house, i would ask. where are you going. who are you going to be with. what time are you coming home. what will you be doing. they would erupt in a rage saying it's not my business. after a few rounds of that, they figured it out.
it's not lying, it's more like omission, intentional vagueness.

lol you think it was easy growing up with my dad? Let me tell you I have gone through some bad things too. But some day you are old enough to do what you want.

If you talk about respect, wouldnt it be respectful to tell the truth to your parents instead of lying?

Relax bro I wasn’t taking a shot at you, idk you just as you don’t know me. Was just replying to what I thought you where saying.

And yeah I stated that I felt bad about the lying thing, I don’t lie anymore, not really much to lie about since all I do is work now lol.

Also I agree when you get older you can do whatever you like (obviously).

This is genius hahaha

How can you make such party for just 300$

Parents are the most beautiful blessings you will ever receive on this planet. Please take care of them, or you will regret it when they are not with you :)

This whole post is a lie
really?
How can you make such party for just 300$
It is a house party (so costs of the house where 0 as I used my friends house). 150 for photographer, 150 for dj. Also they are both my mates and helped me with all parties I threw. If you guys really need confirmation to believe I can simply add photos of the party lol. Also ended up making a lot of money due to 10 dollar entry and 15 after 1 o clock.

I agree with you 100% protect them at all costs :)

I don't need that
I just need the DJ and cameraman that will work for 300$
Hahaha I get why you wouldn’t believe I wouldn’t either but it was one of those “no ones gonna believe me” kinda nights.

They where young bro like 20-21 and we would throw a lot of parties so they did em cheap.

Hi bhw fam,

So I wanted to start this thread out of curiosity to see if I can relate with some on you on this.

Lately I have been thinking about how little my parents really know me.... My whole life has basically been a lie to my parents...

I love them more than anything but they are very traditional and I have never been honest, for example:

Where are you going? lie.
What time did you get home? lie.
Who was with you? lie.
Do you have a gf? lie.
What do you need the money for? lie.

The biggest lie I have probably told them was this:

I asked my dad for 300 dollars to go to a chris brown concert, Chris brown was rejected from coming to Australia because of the thing with Rihanna. I instead used the 300 dollars to throw a party and paid for a dj and photographer. The party ended up being the news as it was an open party on a facebook group and over 250 people showed up. A gang called "apex" ended up trashing the house and also someone was stabbed. My parents never found out and to this day think I went to a Chris Brown concert that night.

The list goes on and on but I have realised that I lie too them so much and have been for most of my life.

Now that I am growing I have started to think about it wrong and trying to fix it as it has become more of a habit then anything now.

Do you lie to your parents so they can hear what they want or is it just me?

If you do, what is the biggest lie you have told?

I am 23 btw :)

Let me tell you this: Most of the time, they know.

Yeah you are kinda like me. That is how it is for me now. When you start making your own money and they see you have matured and provide for the family they get off your back.

I mean.. my dad being the traditional Greek he is will always be on my back no matter how old/mature I am but thats why I love him :)

Congrats on buying them a car bro it is one of my dreams to buy my dad a car, last year I gave him 10k when I made quite a bit of money from crypto and have never felt something better in my life :)

Keep grinding bro and stay off the road ;)
In 10k you can get a car in some countries.
