Do you work from home or office?

I work from home, but i have created office like environment at home...

I work from home, my dining room and living room turns into my office during the day.

I did both in the past and working from home or hotel is best for me. It saves a lot of time. If I need to hire staff, I just let them use a spare room.

I go to mcdonalds about 7 miles down the street. It can get awkward when I'm making videos with camtasia and there are people sitting next to me or a lady wiping down the tables :) I like put my bill down on my hat so I dont look at them, it gets distracting.

working from home is great comfort, fix ur timings, take breaks, watch tv, play game, work at very late when u want to.

The only disadvantage is you dont engage with people.

I used to work commute 40 miles everyday for my web and marketing job. However after 3 years I convinced my boss I work better at home and save 2 hours of being in traffic everyday.

Every month, that is one more work-week's worth of productivity:

Code:
 5 days X 2 hours commute (one each way) X 4 weeks = 40 hours.

I work in my office, I'm blessed that I got shower in my office, I'm young so I never home in less its the weekend!

I got my laptops, and big screen TV with my video games set up when I need a break lol

Nice stories from all good post!

I've tried both types.

Rented an office in town, created an office in a spare house we had on our land, and used an office in the home. I find I work better in the home office. I think I work better in the home office because it's more of a man cave really. It feels cool. Doesn't feel like I'm going to work! Like the dude above, I like to have my video games, music, TV to hand. I suppose I could have these in an office outside of the house too but it wouldn't feel the same.

I work entirely from home, but it took me a while to develop the discipline to work from home.

What is most successful for me is to have dedicated work hours. I spend time with my family till 10 a.m ... then I work solid till 1 p.m. I break for lunch with my wife and kids at that point, then head back upstairs to my office at 1:30 ... I work solid again till 5 p.m., have family time till the kids go to bed.

Depending on whether or not I'm facing a deadline, I may log back on at 9 or 10 p.m. and work for a few more hours.

When I work outside is because I took my laptop somewhere for a number of reasons. I work mostly from home.

Op I think you have to try both things.
I guess you tried to work at home already so now have an office for a month and see how it goes.

This was awesome until your cat discovered it and it became a litter box!!! ;)
