I have 4k spent on a self made custom desktop. I doubt a laptop can even be close to comparable without heavily overheating and quadruple the price.

If I'm working or gaming I want to be comfortable at a desk. I don't want to be on the couch or somewhere else being unproductive. I'm using it to game or work, not to relax. That's what's a phone is for.

I have laptop but my keyboard and battery are broken, so I am forced to use it as desktop (monitor + remote keyboard)

To each his own then. What I know for sure is, if you can afford it, you can get a laptop that can match the performance of a high-end desktop without the downsides you mentioned.
 
Only Laptop because i feel way more flexible with it and it has everything I need for the online marketing stuff I'm working with.

Desktop. I don't like to work with small-screen laptops. Desktops are very comfortable for serious entrepreneurs. Additionally, we can integrate powerful hardware components in desktops if needed, whereas in laptops it's tedious to change them and upgrade the system.

The small screen would still be a deal killer for me.
Desktop - Powerful, big screen machine with the downside of being stationary
Laptop - Small portable device with the downsides of being slower and smaller screen

For a lot of jobs laptop is more than enough, but for many including myself having a large ass screen just makes it so much more productive, for example looking at CSV files, databases or just having several text files besides each other.
And god bless those people who have to work with audio/video editing on a laptop
