Whatever field you're in, and have become adept at it, how often do you underestimate/take for granted how much knowledge of your field you have? Any examples?

Newbie: "Hey pro, do you do X or Y?"

pro: "Well, it's not that simple, here is why...."

Newbie: "Ahh cool, so you would do Y?"

pro:"......Sigh"

I just wrote an accidental poem, wow.

Often times i can't help but think "yup, he's missing out on massive profits" ", oh wow why would they do that", "i wonder if i should tell them that i can 3x their business, nah too much work" haha

You use Facebook and Shopify, according to your post history. What skills do you possess that make you believe that you are a "pro"?
haha of all the outcomes this was the on huh, lmao. save your breath

I'm not aware of to many things,
I know what I know,
If you know what I mean.
Do ya?

Its a song, don't know the artist.

We are all here to help those who do not know gain knowledge, and also to receive knowledge. But you are weirdly right OP we do underestimate what we know,we tend to think "there must be more too it.... surely?" but sometimes its not the case. Anybody can learn anything if they are willing to put the effort in, and if they have the mindset of willing to learn. This forum makes it that much easier to access information :)

I constantly feel like I don't know enough which drives me to learn and test more. I know more than I think I do, but I don't realize it until I try to teach someone. I also realize I don't know enough when I meet people who blow me away with their knowledge.

The most important thing I've learned is how important humility is. Often, the smartest people in the room keep their mouths shut and let you do all the talking. You don't know what you don't know, and you don't know what they know.

Possible reply:
"Oh i've walked by this alley way on the way to work for years, but only today did i realize that there was a barber shop hidden in there, they do a great job. I recommended the old man who owns it to to put up more visible signs, and give out some flyers in the store down the main strip, took a few hours and now he is always fully booked. It is such a simple thing really, i guess he just never realized how much value his shop had in the area."

Acual replies:

the more threads like this i read the more i wish i hadn't... :D

I know exactly what I know but I don't know what I don't know until I know it then I no longer don't know it.

No no Really, What skills do you possess that make you believe that you are a "pro"?
