The real gripe I have with Firefox 75 is the big animated address bar. Keeps triggering my peripherals. I turned it off in about:config but apparently that will only be an option up to version 77.
I'm also using ungoogled chromium, it's nice but again another crappy address bar. Can't seem to get full URLs to show with http:// or https://, extremely annoying or maybe I'm just slightly autistic lol.

You can easily disable that.
Brave isn't perfect but it's the best privacy respecting browser out there right now.

I use firefox with multiple Privacy paid addons and password manager as BitWarden PAID version and I am satisfied. Better Firefox + new laptop every 2-3 weeks than collect all my data.

Chrome for everyday use and Tor where privacy matters. But I used FF for a very long time before.

Honestly stick to Firefox. Brave is secure, yes it blocks ads, but how much more secure is it when pitted against other chromium based browsers. They all have the same core, its not exactly apples and oranges here. The difference, chrome sends data to google and brave, well, they have their own servers. The whole thing with BAT tokens means brave has its own telemetry and they need to monitor user's actions. Its explicitly stated in their privacy policy that they don't send our IPs to their servers, but they need some kind of ID for the reward system to work, innit? How can they reward their users with BAT if none of this information is passed on to their servers. If not they wouldn't be able to match user's interests with tailored ads. We never know what data they have of us. Brave is not definitely a holy grail for privacy, because at this point its just like using a chromium based browser with a built in ad blocker.
If you're using windows and want a chromium based browser use Edge instead. Since it is easy on your RAM compared to others and is only going to improve from here on, in terms of performance, that is! But if you value privacy you are better off with Firefox with a few privacy related addons.

If you go to Brave settings you can disable rewards and it will not log anything.
If you enable the ads they have a policy that you accept and can read and they clearly state they log, but only when you have rewards enabled.
People using Chrome nowdays must be crazy, including all Google products.
Mozilla is good with some plugins.
