NEVER.
Crypto will never replace banks because governments will never allow it to happen. Banks are the backbone of the financial system, used to control taxes, regulate economies, and enforce laws. No government would ever give up that power to a system it can't fully control.
Also, banks provide stability, insured deposits, and regulated trust, while crypto is volatile and risky. At best, crypto will remain a side option or investment, but it will never replace banks.

crypto offers freedom and borderless transactions, but full replacement of banks seems unlikely soon. most people and businesses still rely on banks for stability, loans, and regulation. likely, they’ll coexist, with crypto carving out niches for payments, remittances, and digital assets.

Yes, this is my opinion. I've lost faith in humanity and all that's left is to enjoy the decline.
A vast majority of people don't know what to do with the freedom and don't deserve it, honestly. For too many years, we played on easy mode and let too many stupid genes survive.

I don’t think crypto will fully replace banks — at least not anytime soon.
Governments will always push for regulation, and most people still trust banks for safety.
But crypto definitely has its place for borderless payments & financial freedom.
Most likely, both will coexist — banks adapting blockchain while crypto keeps growing.

Quick question to make this discussion more interesting - If both end up coexisting, do you think we will see banks launching their own hybrid crypto services (like wallets & lending) or will they try to compete directly against decentralized platforms?

I think crypto has the ability to. The process is much smoother having a universal currency. Exchanging different currencies can be a pain and crypto is a remedy for that
