Do you post comments on your site.

you can use scrapebox too to hammer your site
they've got a plugin that removes the wordpress default 30 second defence stuff, which limits how often a visitor can post on your site
I guess if you properly spun your comments you could simulate a viral article with comments

Thanks lads. And any lasses. Got all i needed, that plug in is very handy. Not needed for now but i will use that when i have multiple sites

I have seen some sites do this to add social proof to the site. It works well for that purpose. You may also use some email which have a gravatar image associated with them (you may create some yourself).

It works well for products previews where comments can support the review.

I think a lot of people do this in the beginning, and many other always. It's not necesary to change IP for what you are trying to do. Have a nice day everyone.

I wouldn't do that. Some people aren't that stupid and they can tell the difference.

Everyone doing it)) You can make different dates for comments in admin panel.
Do not install disqus plugin))
Use microformats for comments!!!!!

just comment while logged out
externals can't see which ip was used for commenting and for you it shouldnt matter
obviously mix the time stamps and names up

edit: just an idea
make a comment as your competitor with a link back to their site
and in their comment add:
"wow, your site is better than mine dude" OR "you deserve better rankings than I do" OR "thank you for teaching me how to do {something fundamental|noob stuff}"
OR "Whatever humialiting you can think of"

They might see the link back, and become furiated
They migh tmake a post about you what an A Class Hole you are and give you a link back

PS: I've never done this before, but to me sounds like a good idea
That is a really great idea...Thanks bro

Yes you can do this. Or you can hire someone to post comments for you if you don't have the time. I do feel that it is a good idea to do this as it will look like your site is visited more.

Oh, that just reminded me of something the OP might find useful: if you post comments on your site, start an argument with yourself and a fake account (or as I refer to them as, "my "hero" and "villain" accounts). I used to do this on one of my old sites and on my old YouTube videos to make the pages and comment sections more interesting. When I did this on old my sites, I would purposefully post something either extremely ignorant or obviously wrong on my villain account. Then I would swoop in with my hero account and correct the statements that the villain account made. This would result in people siding with my hero account (which would be the one that is connected to the site) and messaging me positive things.

of course you can do it !

Looks more "natural" besides I think 99% reviews on sites from satisfied customers are like self written from admins :D

I'll bet this is even true of the big blogs like Neil Patel or Matt Cutts. There are always such detailed comments. As if anyone would take that much time out of their own day to post such great content on a stranger's site? Not likely! Has to be the blog owner or admin doing it or someone on his staff making comments.

Yes, and this is what Matt Cutts looks like while posting fake comments on his own website.

Quality tips and advice as usual. And even Mickyfu blessed my thread with his presence. Reasons i love this forum so much. Cheers :drinking2

Why not?

There's no harm in stimulating a little activity to get more activity, if you get what I mean!
