DO YOU LIE IN YOUR CV?

i used to. but i havent worked for other people in over 10 years now.

Not just on resumes, many people exaggerate in their profiles, particularly on LinkedIn.

I don't lie also is not bad as long as you can get the work done, but there is always some sort of risk because some companies really check the background not a lot maybe 1/10 companies do a quick check but if that gives you a change to get the job sure, personally I don't like to do that.

But nicks your razors though.
Nope, he hates the ones I use. :D If anyone nicks a razor, it's me nicking his. He orders from one of those monthly razor clubs and they're fantastic.

A friend just got an interview, and he tells me his resume has some lies about the job experience.
This got me thinking about honesty and being true.
Is it OK to lie on your CV?

DO YOU LIE IN YOUR CV?

No but occasionally ive lied to the wife
what they dont know cant hurt em.

let me go a bit deeper
as someone who has worked in HR
If we catch you lying on your CV
there is a big likelihood you will be fired even if you been employed for years.
I'm afraid that's not even the worst part. In a narrow field, something like this can get a person blacklisted by HR.

When I worked for NASA there was lots of people lying on their CV.
The same when I was working for the Bank of England.
When I was playing for Liverpool as their top striker it didn’t matter.
Luckily when I was working for the United Nations there was not that many.
