Guest post work best. Social media links are also important because they can give direct traffic. Like if you market and promote the site on reddit, you can get huge traffic on your website.

Contextual links within content still perform the best, especially when the content is relevant and indexed properly.
Guest posts work well if placed on niche-relevant pages. For tier 2 support, Web 2.0 and forum links still help if done gradually and with variation.

Editorial and niche edits take time to secure but have long-term value when natural.
