Friends, can anyone tell me which types of backlinks are currently working in 2025? Which backlink types are effective now? Also, can you suggest a related article?

You ideally want your niche edit, editorial and guest post backlinks to be contextual - in fact I don't really think they can be classed as those types of links unless they are contextual, they'd more likely be a form of citation.

Social media and profile backlinks are there to try and build your brand presence - to make your site look like a genuine business entity.

Forum backlinks are best used for actual traffic - being embedded in laser-targeted forum posts answering questions or queries asked earlier in the flow of the thread. Spammer niches can also use forum links (usually from dead/unmoderated forums) for mass backlinking, and some forums make good parasites too.

Social media backlinks are good to tell search engines that their brand is discussed on the platforms, they must be doing something good in their respective industries.
Forum backlinks are good for like self portion on that forum but only if that is relevant to your industry.

Make sure while selecting links like guest post (they have traffic).
Avoid link farms or people who are selling guest post links on social media for a particular price, manually outreach them and negotiate.
 
Context backlinks are best for 2025. They are valuable because they are embedded within the content itself, providing relevance and context.

Honestly, they’re not as powerful as they used to be. I still use them sometimes for tier 2 support or just to help with indexing, but I wouldn’t rely on them for serious rankings. Better to focus on earning links from real, relevant sites.
 
Guest post links always the best. It is also important to gradually and constantly increase it so that Google will understand that your site is becoming popular and should be placed higher in the search.
