I'm curious how many people that lurk around here, have bachelor/master/dr. degree and how much did it use in your career now?

Mine, it wasn't helping me that much. I've followed Marketing courses for 3 years and let me tell you that s*it info is older than Stonehenge. Only skill that helped me was to force myself to learn things that can really helpe me. That's it. Other than that, nothing, zero, nada. I remember that my final project for the final exam was a A/B test for an email headline. They were mesmerized, nobody did that till me, and oh boy in 2010 you could bank pretty hard with email spamming and was already on the wave. One of the biggest and modern uni in the country and they still weren't aware of how powerful it's emailing.

Well, I'm curious about you guys, how you're doing and what about your degree?

It's in my future plans, not for professional purposes, but for personal convictions, to feel better about myself and purely out of interest in the subject.

In general terms; There are many university educated people in my country, but they cannot find a job. If I worked in an auto repair shop for 15 years, I would have more income. As you can see, I'm here for extra income. Even though I am studying and doing my job; Currently, my friend, who is a mechanic's apprentice, owns a shop and has a comfortable economic power.

Dropped out in the 1st year of university,
Making more money yearly than I would my whole life with the degree I've gave up on,
Could've work for me, but not for someone else, the risk will always remain with business!

I have three bachelor's degrees in the hard sciences. I graduated with honors in all three.

I never use them. Those programs were a waste of time.

I would have been far better off by just joining a frat, being fun, and then relying on cronyism and nepotism to land a high-paying job.

Oh, well. Life isn't fair, but it goes on.

And it just keeps going.

Which gives me time to equalize the playing field.

I am a college graduate and I'll use my learned skills through the end of my life
I've always been my own boss.

Earning degree helped gaining some exposure and confidence, apart from that most of the things worked for me were learned on my own.

Dropped out 3rd year. Only reason I was going was for the experience and connections. Other than that, don't really learn any real-world skill. Waste of time imo.
