Do You Edit While Writing or After Completing Content?

Editing during writing can slow things down, but editing later may require more effort. What’s your workflow?

While writing, I focus only on getting ideas out clean and complete, without overthinking structure or wording. Constant editing in between breaks flow and slows everything down. Then I do a proper second pass where I fix clarity, structure, SEO elements, and internal linking. It feels like more work at once, but it’s actually more efficient and the final output is much sharper.

Just write everything out, even with poor structure if need be, so that you don't forget your key ideas. After you're done, do all the editing you need

I usually follow a mixed approach.

While writing, I only fix obvious mistakes or clarity issues so the flow doesn’t break. But I avoid over-editing at that stage because it slows things down.

After finishing, I go back and focus on structure, readability, and small improvements. That second pass helps make the content more polished.

This way I can keep the writing flow while still making sure the final version is clean and easy to read.

Definitely at the end, if I stop and edit all the time I loose my ideas
