Blue light is bad!

Staring at a screen for hours at a time can cause negative side effects, such as disrupting sleep, developing eye strain, and headaches, just to name a few.

Do you block it?

My android phone has a eye control and it blocks it, my screen is not blue but rather warm. On my computer I had a sofrtare to block the blue light but it stopped working and I am looking for something good for Win 10. I dont like to wear glasses.

"Abra-ca-dabra Blue Light Stop" (after wearing a pair of glasses).

I'm wearing blue control glasses and installed care u eyes app in my windows

My monitors have an eye saver mode in their settings which I did not know about until recently. It's worth checking

While working on the computer, I leave the room's lights on. Additionally, I use an app to lower the brightness level below 0. However, if you use the computer for a very long time constantly, you will still experience problems, thus I always wear blue light-blocking eyewear.

I have prescription glasses, so whenever I buy one I ensure to use lenses that block blue light. You can simply buy UV-400 protection glasses and you're good to go.

I use it on all my Laptop and Android devices. I think it's very important for your sleep quality and eyes health in the long run.

Btw, latest Win10 has its own "Night Light" settings, you don't need to download another software. I keep it around 65. Android also has its own; eye comfort shield.

Ha! Thanks for this, I will check it! It is good for day light / office usage?

This.

There's also other 3rd party apps (if you're not using Windows 10), such as f.lux (free):
https://justgetflux.com/
It automatically checks your timezone and enables it around nighttime before bedtime. You can configure it.
It is great as it allows you to disable for 1 hour, or for certain apps. I usually set it to automatically disable when I use colour-sensitive software like Photoshop.

Then there are bluelight-blocking lenses. But I wouldn't recommend them if you're doing colour-sensitive work (like graphic designers). Even optometrist do not recommend bluelight-blocking lenses if you're into graphics work.

edit:
if you're really worried about your eye health, there's another app that notifies you to take breaks to prevent eye strain: It's called eyeleo (free!): http://eyeleo.com/

I use blu-cut lenses or whatever they like to call it
Works better than software filters like f.lux

I never block blue light since for my eyes it's a relief.

maybe you can find a more comfortable glasses, I think this will be the best solution

No, there's nothing to prove they do anything positive or that Blue-light waves are bad for you at all. It is all Dr Mercola level quackery. That's what I think.

+flux software
+windows has blue light mode somewhere in display settings
+some monitors have it built in (push the little buttons to get into settings menu)
+blue-light blocking sunglasses

i bought the glasses years ago. they look good on me. i dont feel any different after wearing them at night. same with all the blue-light blocking shit. some people are jjust more sensitive i guess.
