I don't know if I believe or not hah because i'm only afraid when i'm alone somewhere but not when i watch a ghost film...i believe you either go to heaven or hell, there's no in between.
If you are afraid then you certainly believe.

Usually i don't believe in ghost or any spirits. Yet there is fallacy among the people that they see the wraith or feel the presence of phantoms. It all depends on the perception of thinking and imagination of each individual. We should be strong enough to face the situations without fear. Since i don't believe in ghost i don't have any experience regarding it.

I believe the consciousness we developed is somehow far out of our conception,
like we can't grasp the magnitude of it, in some way we're barely conscious of our consciousness.
It's only a couple hundred/thousand years since we stopped perceiving it as what we now call mythologies. As the sun above the head.
So long story short, we construe things or feelings we can't understand as stories, as we have for thousands of years.

I have some personal expierence with the spirits and I can guarantee you that they are 100% real.
Believe me, anyone who say spirits are fake is just a plain dumb.

I know a person who regularly gets possessed by the spirit of his deceased father.
And I don't think so it's a good idea to trap the spirit of dead people. But that's what indians do unfortunately. I think I should post a thread about it.

Interesting. Please post about it in detail.

Can't they travel across the ocean?
In my country, there are many well known local ghosts.
USA has their own. Why we haven't any records of another country ghosts?

(I never had experience, but I never say if we can't see something, that can't be real)

100% I definitely believe in spirits; I think it's a naive view to think that everything we know, can see and touch is all that exists. I think it's far more likely that there are many other things in the world that we can't even comprehend and also there are things that exist without having any physical presence whatsoever - spirits being a prime example of that.

Humans are spiritual beings having a physical experience. I cringe at those who say they do not believe these things, when its staring us daily in the face. Expand your knowlege, and do it with an open mind. There's more to life than SEO, and black at stuffs.

I do. I have heard and experienced personally. I multiple times had sleep paralysis (in one of them I even talked to a creature in a language that does not exist in life we live in) and believe me that's something. There is no way that's a production of your brain or something.

And, I'm grateful for being given an ability to accept the fact that they really exist. I know people who naively convince themselves that there are no real thing like ghosts/spirits and all the time avoid discussions on this topic.

I don't.
I once attended a seance, just for fun, with some friends who believed.
We started to communicate with the "spirit" by asking them yes or no questions.
After some questions, we figured out the spirit was a girl who was apparently killed with a knife and now wandered in an abandoned barn nearby.
We asked if the killer was among us and she said yes.
At this point, everyone but me was really scared.
We asked if the killer was that guy (pointing at one of my friends) and she said no.
We asked if it was me, and she said YES!
My friends were sweaty and looked at me as if I was a real killer.
We asked if I would kill again that night, and the spirit said yes once again.
I was trying my best not to laugh, but everyone was scared shitless, one girl in particular.
We called it a night and went to sleep.
I slept well and of course I didn't kill anybody.
Next morning, when I woke up, I decided I would prank the scared girl, so I grabbed a huge butcher knife and waited for her.
As soon as she came downstairs I said "hello" with a creepy smile and the knife in my hand.
She shrieked and almost pissed her pants :D but I couldn't hold my laugh so she realized I was joking after a second or so.
Yes, I know, it was an evil prank, but totally worth it.

yes but not in the traditional way, I believe everything is energy and energy exists in multiple forms, dimensions etc- ghosts, spirits and the like are human made constructs of this energy, the energy itself exists however our understanding of it is not entirely correct and is humanized

A lot of understandings we have regarding spirits/ghosts/life after death/god/etc. are humanized. Like a ghost after death chasing someone who killed, doesn't that sound like a human behavior? taking a revenge? or a heaven where you will not get hungry/sleep/a lot of wealth etc. are those values of this life? Despite these things sound nonsense to people with a head on their shoulders, I still prefer believing in them :D

As soon as I opened this thread, there was an audible tapping noise coming from what seemed like the bathroom. So naturally, I walked into the doorway of the bathroom and listened further. The sound seemed to come from just above the bathroom, so I said screw it. If it's up there, it can stay up there, whatever "it" is.

The weirdest thing I have ever seen was about thirty five years ago when I was plowing in this field which was far away from the nearest house and way off the road. It was in the middle of the afternoon when I noticed a patch of blackberries while making a turn at the end of the long rows. since I was in a hurry and trying to finish before dark I hadn't stopped for lunch and these blackberries were looking like steak to me so i hurriedly climbed down from the tractor and grabbed a hand full and then continued back to the other side of the field. the next round heading back to the same end of the field the blackberries were on I noticed someone else picking berries. the closer I got I began to see that it was a woman in a dress with her back towards me not just any woman she was wearing an old blue hoop like dress with an white apron over it and a huge bonnet on her head kind of like someone would have worn in the eighteen hundreds. I remember thinking how odd it was that someone would be that far off the road picking blackberries let alone dressed that way. when I got within thirty feet or so from her she turned and looked at me and I swear her face looked like it was made out of a burlap sack like the old potato sacks and she had two big black buttons for eyes and a strait reddish orange line for a mouth. it scared me so bad that I changed to the highest gear the tractor had and crossed back to the other side of the field wide open. half way back to the shop where i was heading to let someone know what I had just seen I met my boss in the road and told him what I saw. he laughed and told me that I was silly and said that he would park by the blackberries until I was finished. I did go back and finished plowing and never saw her again. I told my mother about it and she said it was probly the devil I saw being the wild teenage lifestyle that I was living at the time. I told my uncle what I had seen who had always told us kids these crazy ghost stories and he told this man years later what I had seen. well twelve years ago I ran into this old timer who ask me if there was any truth in what my uncle had told him since my uncle is known to stretch the truth. I told him what I saw and he said chills ran all over him because when he was a little boy he and his friends would walk down the then dirt road where this happen and that there used to be and old log house where an old woman lived dressed as I described blue dress bonnet' and apron and that she was the meanest old woman who would chase them away from her blackberries with a pair of large shears. the old man could barely talk when I confirmed what my uncle had told him. he said that there was no way someone could have been playing a prank on me because there's not too many people who are still living that knew about her. I realy dont believe in ghost but if I had to say that I saw one this would be the one.
