This is a true story, and it happened to me about 8 years ago.

I was a junior (11th grade) in high school. I was sick with mono (infectious mononucleosis).

I would often wake up in the middle of the night, in a cold sweat. It was disgusting. This happened often. I was very sick.

One night, after waking up 3-4 times in a cold sweat, I decided I needed to take a shower and sleep on the couch in the living room, because my bed was soaked with sweat.

I looked at my alarm clock. It was 3:00AM.

I stood up out of bed, and instantly, I had a pounding, rhythmic headache. Bum. Bum. Bum. Bum. Over and over again. Every second.

I never get headaches. This was very odd to me.

I stood in the middle of my bedroom, and I felt like something was watching me. I can't explain it to this day, but I felt something else was in the room with me. It felt like I was in a nightmare.

I tried to shrug it off, and I made my way to the bathroom at the other end of the house. I was determined to take a shower, because I thought it might make me feel better.

As I walked to the bathroom, I felt like something (or someone) was following me. A few times when I was walking to the bathroom, I stopped and looked around to make sure nobody was there.

Whenever I looked around, my headache slowly faded. I felt slightly calmer. I felt slightly better.

However, once I started making my way to the bathroom again, the headache would creep up on me, and the feeling that somebody was following me increased.

I took a shower. I tried to calm myself down.

I walked back to my bedroom. I needed to get a couple pillows and a blanket and move them to the couch in the living room.

I grabbed a pillow, and I walked to the couch. The same thing happened to me as I walked. I felt something/someone following me, and I had the rhythmic headache.

I dropped off the pillow at the couch in the living room, and I proceeded to walk back to my bedroom so I could grab a blanket.

As I entered my bedroom for the last time, everything began to become overwhelming.

The presence of something following me was terrifying.

The pounding headache was ramping up.

I stood in the middle of my room, and I prayed to God that whatever was happening to me would stop.

I prayed for 30 seconds. The longest 30 seconds of my life. I've never been so terrified. I can't explain the horror.

All of a sudden, I heard my name get called out.

"IGKing!" "IGKing!" (my actual name was called out).

When I heard my name, everything went away.

The headache.

The presence of something following me.

It all went away.

I felt relieved.

I listened to the voice. It was my brother.

My brother is two years older than me.

My brother's room was right next to mine, and his door was half open.

I ran into my brother's room. I was so relieved that he was awake. Suddenly, I wasn't alone anymore.

My brother quizzed me.

"What are you doing up?"

"I needed to take a shower, I'm going to sleep on the couch..." I responded.

My brother looked puzzled at me.

He said, "Is your girlfriend here?"

"What?"

"Is your girlfriend here?"

"No" I responded. "Why would she be here?"

"Who are you with?" my brother asked.

"What?"

"Who's here?" my brother asked again.

"What are you talking about?" I started to panic.

"I saw you walk back and forth, several times, and you were holding a girl's hand?"

Silence.

"What?" I asked.

"You better not be fucking with me. I don't care if she's here, I won't tell mom or dad."

Silence.

I told him everything that happened.

To this day, he swears by his life that he saw me hold a "girl's" hand, walking back and forth in my house.

He saw the girl. He saw the thing I felt like was following me.

I have a part two to this story, but yeah... spirits/ghosts are definitely real.

So I saw a video Where a guy explained why people see ghosts or images like people in thin air.
Our Imagination gives our mind a purpose to create those images. Its what we believe we see when we are afraid and alone.

The weirdest thing I have ever seen was about thirty five years ago when I was plowing in this field which was far away from the nearest house and way off the road. It was in the middle of the afternoon when I noticed a patch of blackberries while making a turn at the end of the long rows. since I was in a hurry and trying to finish before dark I hadn't stopped for lunch and these blackberries were looking like steak to me so i hurriedly climbed down from the tractor and grabbed a hand full and then continued back to the other side of the field. the next round heading back to the same end of the field the blackberries were on I noticed someone else picking berries. the closer I got I began to see that it was a woman in a dress with her back towards me not just any woman she was wearing an old blue hoop like dress with an white apron over it and a huge bonnet on her head kind of like someone would have worn in the eighteen hundreds. I remember thinking how odd it was that someone would be that far off the road picking blackberries let alone dressed that way. when I got within thirty feet or so from her she turned and looked at me and I swear her face looked like it was made out of a burlap sack like the old potato sacks and she had two big black buttons for eyes and a strait reddish orange line for a mouth. it scared me so bad that I changed to the highest gear the tractor had and crossed back to the other side of the field wide open. half way back to the shop where i was heading to let someone know what I had just seen I met my boss in the road and told him what I saw. he laughed and told me that I was silly and said that he would park by the blackberries until I was finished. I did go back and finished plowing and never saw her again. I told my mother about it and she said it was probly the devil I saw being the wild teenage lifestyle that I was living at the time. I told my uncle what I had seen who had always told us kids these crazy ghost stories and he told this man years later what I had seen. well twelve years ago I ran into this old timer who ask me if there was any truth in what my uncle had told him since my uncle is known to stretch the truth. I told him what I saw and he said chills ran all over him because when he was a little boy he and his friends would walk down the then dirt road where this happen and that there used to be and old log house where an old woman lived dressed as I described blue dress bonnet' and apron and that she was the meanest old woman who would chase them away from her blackberries with a pair of large shears. the old man could barely talk when I confirmed what my uncle had told him. he said that there was no way someone could have been playing a prank on me because there's not too many people who are still living that knew about her. I realy dont believe in ghost but if I had to say that I saw one this would be the one.
Nice experience. Very creepy.

Every living organism is driven by the soul, so yes. :)

We are all spirits attached to a physical body that was given to us. Most of us in western society just don't know it yet until after we've already passed on.
