Do single product Shopify stores work well?

Dear all,

I would like to hear your opinion about build a single product Shopify store strattegy instead of build a generic/niche store with many products.

Could you share an example that you consider a successfull case?

Hey man,
Yes, one product shopify stores can work BUT depends on whats your target, if you plan to the long term and want to keep getting sales, you have to test more products regularly.
Especially when you dropship, and the barriers to entry in this business is so easy so that even a bunch of 14-year-olds can tomorrow run ads on the same exact product as you and exhaust the market.
So yes, it can work, worked for me, and worked for like 2 of my friends, but I remember the time when we used this stradegy, we all had some best months and then went back to 0 since we were dependent just on 1 product.
Once one of my friends started testing more products regularly and advised me to do so as well, I managed to find more consistency and make money always. not just on best months when things unpredictibly go viral. but always, because the demand in the market changes all the time (if you dropship) and things become saturated real fast.

Try to add 2 to 3 other products that have a relation with the main one to upsell and cross sell with them.

No, there is no way to success with one product website regardless of the platform. You need a funnel with up sell and downsell. Build a list and remarketing to make profit. Shopify is okay but not the best. Look for clickfunnel althernatives (there are many, cheaper and better) and build up your funnel.
 
I have done one product Shopify stores and had very good sales, with "lazer" targeting done using Google Ads.

I totally agree with this.. we also done this and just don't need to have too many products but 1 is not fine at all..
