For the past few months now, I have been building profile Backlinks but they didn't move my site DA an inch. What is going on?

What is your experience?

within one month the moz not index your backlinks, you have to build more blog commenting or any tiered linking for that profile backlinks or else you have to wait

Why are you so focused on DA? It's a third-party metric.
Best way to track if something works is seeing if your traffic and rankings increase.

I dont think so, but maybe you can build few for diversity.

Work for what?

People still destroy their competitors with it, if that's what you're asking.

Profile backlinks are often mixed up for diversification.
They do not pass mainstream link-juice.
Also, don't validate your result with respect to DA.

Well i think its a thing of past. Right now any Social media links does wonder.

Some replies here, lol.

Profile backlinks won't help much, but they won't hinder. They're decent for diversification, don't overdo it, and mix it with other link types.

Think about a genuine site, that has natural links, it'll probably have a handful of forum/profile links.

It wont help you much in ranking, you should build pbn and guestpost links.

1.Profiles is still a thing but mostly for link diversification. It's not possible to rank website just on Profiles.
2.Choose the referrals right. And also be sure your profile is indexable (no noindex tag)
3.DA isn't an objective. You should be more focused on how it affects you positions and rankings.
4. Even if you need a metric to make easier understanding how overall your profile is doing I will choose DR (Ahrefs). In my opinion MoZ DA is less accurate. But both metrics can be easily faked. )

You need high DA - Do a 301 redirect from a good expired domain. Increase in DA is guaranteed with this within a couple of weeks. But why are you running after DA, if you don't mind asking?

And profile links are good mostly for diversification if you can get them indexed (most of them don't tbh).

Work on EARNING backlinks instead

The name of the White hat SEO game is : the harder it is to get a link, the better it is for you

Building links is easy - fill out a form and get a profile link.... Focus on HARDER ways to get a link (ie., a process that has an EDITORIAL FILTER)

Yes, it still works, and you can start with social media backlinks
