Do personal posts still work on linkedin?

I think LinkedIn now prefers useful and informative content. Those posts seem to get more reach than personal posts.

i still see personal posts working but only when they feel relatable or spark discussion. pure story style posts without a clear hook or takeaway do not seem to get much reach compared to before. mixed content usually performs better now.

Honestly, it feels like LinkedIn has shifted more toward professional and useful content, which may be why informational posts are doing better.

You're not alone—I’ve noticed that too.
Useful posts that spark conversations seem to travel further than personal updates lately.

hey everyone,
i have been trying both personal style posts and informational posts on linkedin.
informational ones get some views but personal do not seem to get much reach anymore.
is is just me or has linkedin changed how it pushes content?
It's not you only, however, if people don't interact with your personal style posts, you need to give them more value.

It is something that I have seen too. Personal posts have always worked for me as well as long as there is an actual experience nd a lesson behind it. The posts which just update somethiing do not catch much attention however those who educate people or help them somehow mannage to do better.

personal posts still work but they usually need a real story or opinion behind them. just sharing generic updates will not get much attention anymore from my experience.

Personal posts aren't doing as well lately for sure. There seems to be a sweet spot where posts are relatable enough, but also definitely industry focused. I might be imagining it but there are a lot less picture based posts on my feed this week as well.

Yes. In my experience, personal stories still get good reach when they provide a useful lesson or spark meaningful discussions, not just personal updates.

yeah i think I've noticed the same because informational posts seem to get better reach now and i think linkedIn is focusing more on content that provides value and not just personal updates and i still mix both types and see what works the best.
