hey everyone,
i have been trying both personal style posts and informational posts on linkedin.
informational ones get some views but personal do not seem to get much reach anymore.
is is just me or has linkedin changed how it pushes content?

Yeah it's not just you. LinkedIn has been pushing informational and value-driven content way more lately. Personal posts only work well if they're really relatable or story-based, otherwise they get buried

I do not think personal posts are dead, but they probably need more value mixed in now. pure personal content feels harder to push than before.

Interesting observation. Have you compared the engagement rates of both types of posts as well?

In my experience personal stories tend to perform better when they include a clear takeaway lesson or industry insight.

Now a days people are spamming ai generated pdf posts. Be different and post something that can solve a specific problem. Do proper keyword research before publishing to get the most benefit.

The best way to stand out is to post something useful that solves a real, specific problem.

Also, do proper topic research before posting so the content reaches the right audience.

I think people are just in learning mode more now. they scroll linkedin to get value, so they stop more on tips and insights than personal stories.

Personal pots still work, but only when they feel relatable to a professional situation. pure life updates do not seem to get pushed much anymore.

Its not u. LinkedIn s new algorithm favors valuable, informational content over personal stories now

I've noticed the same thing recently. Feels like LinkedIn is prioritizing engagement quality more than personal storyline along. Personal posts can still perform well but they seem to need a clear takeaway or something that encourages discussion.

I’ve noticed the same trend. Informational and value-driven posts seem to get more consistent reach, while purely personal posts don't perform as well as they used to. Personal content still works, but it often needs a strong takeaway or insight to gain traction.

its mostly about dwell time and user feedback. linkedin heavily cracked down on those "broetry" style personal posts because too many people were clicking "I don't want to see this" or just scrolling past. if you want the personal stuff to hit now, you almost have to disguise it as a case study. show a screenshot of a win or a failure, talk about the numbers first, then drop the personal story. pure text personal updates without some kind of image or document attachment are just getting buried by the algorithm.

In my opinion, personal posts are still highly effective on LinkedIn. However, they need to be high-quality, engaging, and provide real value to capture people's attention and encourage interaction.

LinkedIn seems to be favoring educational, industry focused content more than generic personal stories lately. Personal posts still work, but usually when they include a strong lesson, case study, or business insight.

Yes, I have noticed the same thing now informational posts usually get more consistent reach now compared to personal stories, at least in most niches.

Yes, recently I have also noticed something similar. I feels like that LinkedIn has been rewarding that content which teaches, informs, or starts professional discussions more than generic personal post.
That doesn't mean that personal posts doesn't have value, but they seem to perform better when they include a clear lesson, insight, case study, or takeaway that others can apply.

Personal posts still work from what I have seen but they need to connect to a professional lesson or insight Pure life updates seem to get less reach than before The best performing personal posts usually tell a story and then tie it back to a business or career takeaway that others can learn from
