Do people with covid become scammers?

I have this theory that IMers that get covid, 5 out of 10 times, they become scammers against their will.

Remember when a scammer would tell you he has family issues (dead people/pets) just to buy some time? And then they would suddenly cut all connections.
It seems like today most lack creativity and they all get covid when its time to pay or work...

What 'excuses' have you heard lately that turned out to be fake... or at least suspicions as they ran off with your money/belongings ?

I get what you say...

There is a difference between people saying "I got a Covid" with an intention to lie and buy some more time because they are lazy and they have 0 respect for anyone, and people that get Covid for real.

Lazy part, people that might even scam others will go for 2nd excuses, then 3rd, then 4th, and so on in a circle, it's a never ending circle btw.

Once you hit that point, people should break it down and stop working with them.

When I do any job for other people and I get sick or something is going on in my family, I tell them what is going on with a message that I might take some time off, which is usually just up to few hours.

I use to work with temperatures over 39, having huge problems in the family, etc... Guess what?

I got paid to finish the job, if I can stand on my feet and if I can sit on my chair, I am good for work so I will just continue working on it.

No one was pushing me ever, it was all my own call to continue working.

Once people start making excuses, it's never going to end well, remember that.

Of course, I mean on those that will come up with a new excuse every single week.

Man i dont trust anything anyway. Today i watched some news story about whats happening in Afghanistan.

They interviewed 2 women. Their faces were blurred out and their English accents middle eastern. I figure mainstream media, could be fake actors.

Then later they talked to some taliban spokesperson. He says people helped the taliban take power. The hostile female interviewer said the people dont support the taliban. And this was right after the previous 2 women said the taliban would make them sex slaves and they would rather be dead, their lives are over.

Then the bitch interviewer mentions the guy grabbing the US plane that was leaving or whatever, and she says "the people of Afghanistan would rather hold on flying planes than stick around under taliban rule".

Okay first of all, its not all the people, its 1 dude that did the plane thing. And that was probably by accident, his robe got caught on the plane or somehing and he had no choice but to hold for dear life as he couldnt free himself. Or maybe he was crazy.

Anyway its all bullshit. Subtle fucking manipulation. The people of Afghanistan. Really? All of them?

And then the 2 chicks saying their life is over now and in the very next segment saying how the people dont support the taliban.

Its all well made and scripted and the western bitch interviewer is well hostile and good at what she does, but you wont get me with that bullshit.

I dont know much about the situation, but i dont believe for a second the taliban would take over everyhing so easy and quick if they didnt have heavy support from the populace.

Cant trust the western media for shit anway. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libia, Syria, Yugoslavia, 2016 US elections, the entire Trump presidency, corona, the western media isnt worth spit anymore. They have 0 credibility.

Having said that.... I dont trust nobody and any excuse you give me i take with more than one grain of salt

For me I only trust people with ferrets or people who eat Indian food everyone else can't trust.

Thanks did me well for years since I always speak or hang out with Indians normally plus I know loads of people with ferrets even in the SEO world a lot have ferrets as well.

Nice trust factor you got there

Scamming is a choice which is disease independent. Hard to imagine why deal with such people.
Covid has nothing to do with it.

You literally just used an excuse to defend the scammers.

This is not pistol to scammers head scenario, but a device with an internet connection.


Even a long term service provider can turn into scam when out of supply, or method dead.

Why not grab that extra 20-50k out of loyal customers and live a good life for some time?


You don't need excuse when there is a crypto payment.

I am not defending. I am not serious that covid is the source of all scammers.

Take it serious... or not.

People will use it as an excuse for sure.

I have a few examples just because sometimes when people try to scam me, I try to learn about them.

1. a few guys after failing to scam me told me that they are doing it because they need money to survive.

In this instance I think most of us would not have problems to sleep when survival is the game...

2. one guy after failing to scam, replied with a message in Russian like 'smart people are hard to scam'. And had a short conversation based on that before he blocked me and erased his account. And this guy wasn't scamming to survive. His marketing tactics would shame many legit IMers. He said he is still doing it because it is how he started and because he is making thousands and thousands each month.

Even tough with his marketing skills he could've killed in many legit sectors...

so... it seems that at least some sleep pretty well.
