You're only confused,calm down and try to understand
Dark web is an entirely different world from this everyday google based life,dark web is a lot bigger and eye opening,and also helpful in business aspects (legally/illegally) depending on your choice.the same government that "X" the dark web also access it (employs professional that can access it ) for their own personal use too.

99.99 percent of services and sites are scams, rest are drug markets, police honey traps. Nothing interesting other then the ToR service itself. to hide your identity.

Visited a few times, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. My largest critique of the Dark Web is many websites will look like they were meant for time travelers from the 1980s. The UI of many sites there is VERY RETRO. But aside from those alleged sites with scams and trojans, there are people there that use it just as they use the clearnet. Forums, info sites, and such alike.
I think there's definitely space to draw some traffic from there. At the very least, the effort made to create access to something on the dark web is enough to garner attention.

i have heard of the dark web but never accessed it.
I know people say you will get hacks, cracks and other things
But I think for me most of the money-making or other things comes and available online at free of cost.

I will.. You just need to go to Reddit and search the big subreddits about the deep web and you will get the right directories URL's to go to and learn & what people are legally selling.. on there .onion sites or forum marketplaces.. LEGAL stuff not drugs and porn and all the other BS you ONLY SEE in the public directory you get with TOR.. That has been dead for years ok? There hundreds and thousands of other directories.. Research that from Reddit subreddits.. I do not know why you guys think that the TOR directory is the only one?! You will need to weed out the real directories and the fake ones by yourself.. As I said they are thousands of them with thousands of listings. Use Reddit to find the real active directories.

The only thing that stops me from visiting "the dark web" is fucked up content like gore and CP (which is allegedly available in abundance). I don't want to accidentally see something that'll scar me for life.

I was once browsing on my firefox searching for forums for work and don't know how but I reached a forum which was closely related to dark web and stuff like live streams links for gross stuff etc.
After that I never found the same website. Would like o know if someone knows such websites which i can visit from my firefox. I dont wanna install tor etc.

When I went to 5 different trading places on the "dark web" all i could find was junkies selling WEED, xanax and like "a list of emails" or "a stolen credit card"
Literally 15y olds trying to make a quick buck from selling you over the counter meds that are legal in their state, or locked credit cards.
There were no cool poisons, chemicals, weapons, radioactive materials and so on.
you couldnt even find hardcore drugs or shrooms, it was literally only weed.
Looks like all the cool kids left after FBI raided everything.
