Do organic posts on Pinterest actually drive conversions?

Pinterest is best used as a secondary marketing channel. It is not easy to find and convert customers directly from the platform.

I think organic Pinterest traffic can still bring sales and leads, but it probably depends a lot on the niche and the quality of the traffic.
pinterest seems to generate traffic better when used for the long term nd not as an immediate way to make a sale. there r some great pins that keep generating traffic weeks or even months late but u have to know how to do it right.

Yeah most of the replies here are right about it being slow, but the real issue is the user intent. People on pinterest are looking for ideas, they arent looking to buy right that second. If you send organic pin traffic straight to a sales page, your bounce rate is going to be massive.
Like @Red ruby said, it works for visual niches, but you really need a bridge page or a funnel. Best way to convert them is pinning to a helpful blog post with an email opt-in, or offering a freebie. Get them on a list first, then sell to them. Direct linking to ecom from organic pins is usually a waste of time.

absolutely but it is not enough to use the number of clicks alone to judge pinterest. it may be the case that fewer people click on a certain pin but at the same time it producces more sales since the people who click on the pin are more relevant.
