Do Old Pins Still Drive Traffic or Only New Pins Matter Now?

Hi everyone,

I have been testing Pinterest for a while and noticed something interesting.

Some of my older pins suddenly start getting impressions and clicks again after weeks or even months, while new pins sometimes take time to pick up.

So I am curious:
  • Do old pins still drive consistent traffic?
  • Or should we focus mainly on creating fresh pins?
  • Have you seen older pins outperform new ones over time?
I would love to hear your experiences.
Pinterest is very good at preserving and resurfacing older content. Old Pins can still continue attracting strong traffic over time.

Old pins can still drive significant traffic, Pinterest often resurfaces high performing content months or even years later. Fresh pins help expand reach, but strong older pins can outperform new ones once they gain traction and relevance.
