Curious if niche edits are still worth the price or if Google is discounting them now.
Sometimes, but less consistentlyCurious if niche edits are still worth the price or if Google is discounting them now.
In 2026 it’s honestly less about niche edits vs guest posts and more about how the link is placed. Niche edits can still work if the page is relevant and gets real traffic, but edits dropped into old or dead content usually don’t do much. Guest posts tend to hold better when the site is active, though low-quality ones get ignored just as fast.Curious if niche edits are still worth the price or if Google is discounting them now.
I don’t think one consistently “outperforms” the other anymore, it depends on context and execution.
Niche edits can work well when they’re added to aged, relevant content that already gets traffic. In those cases, the link often gets picked up faster and can pass value quickly.
Guest posts still make more sense when you want topical expansion, brand signals, or control over context. A well-placed guest post on a real site can outperform a forced edit on an unrelated page.
Where people get burned is treating niche edits as shortcuts and scaling them on low-quality sites. That’s when they stop “outperforming” anything.
In 2026, relevance, traffic, and editorial logic matter more than the format itself.
Curious how others are seeing it play out, quicker wins with edits, or longer-term stability with guest posts?
