Curious if anyone has had success with this method?

Yeah it worked for me back then. Don't know the current situation though. The only problem with it is the conversion rate is quite low.
 
According to what I know from our customers, it varies depending on the content and how accurate your targets are. The hard part is to get your exact target audience first...mass dm is only a way to reach them
 
They work for certain areas still. But 90% of the time it’s trash due to very low inbox rates.
 
Most of the DMs goes to request but people still opens them so they still works but as said before in this thread, low conversion rate.
 
still works if u got a clean setup although u shouldnt expect the results they were 1-2 yrs ago
 
It still works if you're targeting broad niches with lots of potential targets for lead gen purposes. If you niche is centered around crypto or finance, I'd recommend staying away from Mass DMs as they've already been spammed to death.
 
depends in your target audience and quality of your product... also depends on dm seller... some times they say they has sent 100k dms and they have sent only 10k dms ;)

Could you elaborate on this? As far as I know, in the last years, DMs from people that the account does not follow always go to the "requests" tab.
The only way to inbox was if the target account was already following you as far as I know.

So for the people that say it worked some time ago, what changed now?
Are too many people doing it? Is Instagram shadowbanning the DMs?
 
but if you're going to send really MASS & BULK DMs, it's quite expensive
I would rather try ads
 
Operate within the DM limits of IG and be sure to space it out over 24-hours to be safe. And yeah, it works well enough but that's mostly just playing the numbers game.
 
It depends on many factors. Your audience, your message, your account, your niche. Saying yes or no to such simplistic and naive question would be misleading you.
 
Mass DMs can work in certain contexts, but it's important to use them thoughtfully and strategically, and avoid spamming or annoying potential customers.
