Do keywords in images help google's algorithm & seo

May or may not nobody knows for sure but of course they use it some way or another.So i was wondering, what if there is hidden SEO involved in static images that have words in it? Googles AI may scan images for keywords and it may help in ways that are not well known.

Just use google vision ai and you will see what Google understands about your photos. Same as alt tags it can help but it's not a guarantee for ranking.

I don’t know about static image but @BassTrackerBoats had written about image seo and It makes sense too just search for that guide and read it

I am not sure about that, But try to use the alt text for your website. I am always using alt text for my all websites.

Images help with SEO directly and indirectly. Users may search for your keyword in google images and if your image has the "keyword' is better than having the name "image1". Google algorithm will know that image is related to your keyword and will help with ranking too.

No I don't think having the keyword over the image makes difference. I know a while ago there was some fuss about google images using AI to stop duplicate image ranking so if you had a stock photo of a camera before there would be 1000 people using the same image.. now apparently they stopped from happening and would just show one.
They said (google) or the article I read (can't remember) said that editing those kind of images would make no difference due to the AI being able to detect them..
Well I've used similar images to everyone else and all I done was include my brand logo in the bottom corner of the image and image search I rank 1 for nearly all my images. I don't know if you want to read something into that or not.. but I've found image search as a topic still very much trial and error at the mo..
