I'm bit late on this subject I din't have AMP plugin before I install it few hours ago , since ~60% of my site visitors are on mobile phones .
To be clear since I'm designing all my sites themes creating desktop / mobile friendly design is painful process and it's impossible to me have such design ,
This is not apply to wordpress design only even on other ( Live steaming site I have ) it's original design can't be transfered to mobile screen at all I need to write the codes and start the design process from the scratch .
I'm thinking doing either (302 or 301 ) redirection to mobile subdomain/subdirectory to all my sites ,
So could this effect my site ranking (or even worst G index one version of my site and ignore the other !).

im doing it

has result

Not sure what type of content management you have, but if it's WP, then it's just simply installing the amp plugin, and it will do the necessary redirection, canonical, etc, for you automatically. Then big-g will handle the rest as the amp version of your page, is hosted on their server partially.
