    Hey guys,

I planning to create a recipe site. I will copy recipes by hand from like 10-20 recipe blogs.

I will copy recipes by hand. Some of the titles will be changed, all images will by compressed.

It is possible to get penalized or deindexed?

Lol what does "copying by hand" even mean? I don't believe people copy by using their feet.

Like you'll write out the recipe, take a picture of it written out and use that? If so, AWESOME!
Use handwriting that looks like a grandma wrote it and build your site around that persona.

I also copy content by hand. But, I'd never use it on my website. Because I think, it will get penalized by Google. So, you better try to put your own ideas and use it for your recipe site.

You want the information provided on your site to be unique. Even if you don't get penalized, it's best to use your "own" content so you're original and provide your personal value and insight to readers.

If you can use copied content on your blog you will be penalized. So You can use unique and manually written content on your recipe site because Unique content on your blog will give better user experience.

it doesn't matter if you copied by hand or using something else google bot read content and if they found someone already publish this content then they mark your content as duplicate and penalized your site hardly.

Copied contents on websites will definitely be penalized..Its not even worth doing so, then why you are trying this? Quality unique contents give better movements.

On a side note, you won't get into any legal trouble, because recipes are not protected by the copyright law since listing ingredients and providing preparation instructions is not considered as creative or original work, so the site owners where you copy the content, legally won't be able to do anything.

However, on SEO side of things, you site probably won't benefit much, since the content is already indexed elsewhere.
