Hey all! My question is that of the title; Surprising! Does buying social signals for your blog articles and links (as tier 2 or 3 links) work well for moving the needle in the SERPS? If so, I am seriously interested in who provides the best social signals. I have seen cheap ones in several panels, so this seems like an easy SEO hack if it in-fact does impact SEO.

Thanks for your time!

I can only speak from a little experience. I bought a service that likes every Twitter post I made 50 times. I fed my autoblog to Twitter and so every blog post was liked 50 times on Twitter. I have no noticed any difference. No increased Google rankings over a period of 5 months, no difference in rank between the blog posts that were liked 50 times and the ones that were not liked at all. So, at least with low quality Twitter likes, I didn't notice any difference. Maybe if they were higher quality, or maybe if they were retweets I might see different results, but nothing from Twitter likes.

I have not seen social signals actually give me any noticeable boost in the SERP. But what they have done for me is reduce and many cases totally eliminate the bounce in the SERP when I added backlinks. Just my experience, your mileage may vary.

Thanks for sharing with us. but I watch some SEO experts who really care about their social signal. they think social signals can bring them huge traffic and ultimately google ranks those sites who have a good amount of visitors.

Thanks!

Did you track website traffic which you got from those social Shares? Is it improving or not?

Yes I did through Google analytics and saw no increase in traffic from social media. There was an increase in traffic from organic search but that was only due to the increase in SERP position brought on by the backlinks.

I could imagine it would still be good for diversity
